Samsung recently launched Galaxy Core Plus, the successor of the Samsung Galaxy Core without much publicity. This model has been released in Taiwan only. Usually successive models come up with and improved processor, increased screen size and better efficiency, but Samsung galaxy core plus is definitely an exception.
It runs on Android 4.2.2 which is up gradation of the one used in Galaxy Core, but not the latest, it still comes under Jelly Bean. Both the models have same display screen size and resolution. The new model is comparatively cheaper than the original model.
Samsung Galaxy Core plus has 4 GB of internal memory, reduced from 8 GB in the earlier model. RAM has been decreased to 768 MB from 1 GB in Galaxy Core. The reason behind this speculated that the Korean telecommunication giant is trying to go price effective by using the parts of one handset in the other. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 uses 4 chips of 768 MB for the 3 GB RAM.
However, it can be said that the new device certainly does not deserve to be called a ‘plus’ model. Galaxy Core plus is a budget phone with modest specifications and also on sale in Taiwan but Moto G, recently announced by Motorola is a strong competitor.
